Dr. Pomeranz, New Editor for the Journal of Life Care Planning

Dr. Jamie Pomeranz, who holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Rehabilitation Science, was recently named editor of the Journal of Life Care Planning (JLCP). The JLCP publishes education and research materials relevant to the practice and processes of life care planning.

Dr. Pomeranz’s academic, research and clinical background in rehabilitation and public health make him well suited for this position. In addition to teaching several courses related to disability, he has received research funding from numerous sources, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as a principal investigator. His NIH project involves developing one of the first empirically-based tobacco cessation programs for people with disabilities.

Dr. Pomeranz also has considerable clinical experience. He has worked with people with disabilities in multiple capacities for over 19 years. His clinical background includes working with individuals with spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury and developmental disabilities. Click here to read his full profile.
