Former BSCH Graduate, Dr. Pablo Saldana, Receives the Doughty Award

Dr. Pablo SaldanaDr. Pablo Saldana, an alumnus of the BSCH Department in Rehabilitation Science, recently won the Doughty Award at Nemours Children’s Clinic for the state of Florida.

The Doughty Award, named for Robert A. Doughty, MD, PhD, who fostered continued development and learning at Nemours, honors its recipients for distinction in academic excellence or accomplishment in a field that brings innovation to Nemours.

Dr. Saldana is a medical social worker at Nemours and was recognized for earning his doctoral degree and leading an effort to develop and implement an integrated system of health care transition across all the subspecialty clinics offered at Nemours.

As an instructor for Saint Leo University, Dr. Saldana is also assisting with the development of a new human services program that is being offered in northeast Florida.

During his time at the University of Florida, Dr. Saldana studied under the mentorship of Dr. Jamie Pomeranz.
