Former Doctoral Student Pablo Saldana Earns Promotion
Dr. Pablo Saldana, an alumnus of the BSCH Department in Rehabilitation Science, was recently promoted to Manager of Patient and Family Centered Care at Nemours Children’s Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.
Dr. Saldana is a medical social worker at Nemours and was previously awarded The Doughty Award for distinction in academic excellence or accomplishment in a field that brings innovation to Nemours.
His responsibilities include providing leadership and direction to the Social Work and Child Life departments, working collaboratively with division chiefs, department chairs and nursing, as well as providing overall leadership and direction in the ongoing development and maintenance of patient and family-centered care principles. He also offers rehabilitation counseling and vocational services. He recently received a grant from the American Cancer Society to continue providing rehabilitation counseling and vocational services to patients in hematology/oncology.
During his time at the University of Florida, Dr. Saldana studied under the mentorship of Dr. Jamie Pomeranz.
