Dr. Kathryn Ross, assistant professor in Social and Behavioral Sciences and Clinical and Health Psychology, won first place in the Early Career Lightning Talk Competition at Obesity Week, the joint annual meeting of the Obesity Society and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.

12 top-scoring abstracts submitted by early-career researchers were selected and invited as 3-minute “Lighting Talks” during a session at The Obesity Society annual meeting. Talks were judged during the session by a panel of researchers, and the top three were selected and announced. Dr. Ross received the top score.
