Jeff Satine graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Education and Behavior and a minor in Health Disparities in Society. In his senior year of undergraduate studies, Jeff completed a practicum with the WellFlorida Council where he implemented a project called “HIV in Our Community” at a local church in Gainesville to raise awareness for HIV among the African American community. The project witnessed great success in which approximately 15 individuals received a free HIV test over the course of two days. Jeff’s research interests are in health disparities, global health HIV/AIDS and diabetes.
Currently, Jeff is a Care Coordinator in the Diabetes Management Program at the Florida Department of Health in Alachua County where he works full-time with those who are affected directly or indirectly by diabetes.
Jeff goal is to become a Missionary, so that he can utilize his Public Health expertise and his passion for God to impact the lives of others locally and abroad. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys running and playing various sports.
